teeny, tiny hockey skates, 2010

Today we’re taking Simon skating for the first time. We would have taken him last year, but the fit he threw today over wearing a helmet (mandatory for public rinks) was nothing compared to last year. Canadian he may be, but we’re not going to force Simon to skate anymore than we’re going to force him to pick blue skate guards.

Even if Simon sits in the penalty box, skate-less and helmet-less, we still have those teeny, tiny skates (note bobby pin on lace for scale) to drool over, making our $100 helmet/skate investment totally worth it.

Will report back with hilarity soon.
